Criton featured in Skift's Top Travel Startups To Watch in 2019
20th June 2019
Today, we are delighted to share some exciting news: Criton made it into Skift's list of the Top Travel Startups to Watch in 2019! This list includes companies at different stages of growth, that hold the promise of breakaway potential and we are very excited to be recognised as one of them.
In including Criton into the list, Skift Take was: “Founder and CEO Julie Grieve saw a problem. Global hotel chains had used their large tech teams to build smart mobile apps. However independent hotels and small chains lacked that edge in tech. So Grieve built a company that makes it easy for smaller players to repeat the trick. Criton provides a content management system to let hotel operators digitize their guest information. Its white-labeled mobile apps let guests check in online, unlock their hotel room door with their mobile device, send text messages to front desk workers, and track their loyalty program details. That helps level the playing field.”
Since our journey began in 2016, we have experienced a period of rapid growth. Today we are very pleased to be working with hotels and serviced apartment providers, both in the UK and overseas, to help them change the way they connect with their guests. 2018 and the first half of 2019 has been a particularly fast-paced period for the Criton Team as we attended almost 50 events worldwide; launched the group app functionality for chains of hotels and serviced apartments; and partnered with Inspire Loyalty, GuestRevu, Impala, Kumulos, 4Suites and other companies innovating in the travel industry to expand our offering.
